All We Have is Each Other

"Hey could you get that?" Tom peeks out his head from the other room. "Sure", I stammer the yes of my nod. I look at Tom, then glare at the door and I push myself off of the couch. When I open the door, I look down to see the third whole human we received this week. "We got another one!", I yell into the house.  "Are you serious?" Tom yells back. I stand in the doorway staring at the packaged man. As Tom walks up next to me, he puts his hand on my shoulder as if to comfort me, but he does not take his eyes off the man. He is not worried for me, and he is not discomforted by the man. I can feel the look in eyes. I turn around and walk back into the house, taking my place on the couch once again. I watch as the others come to help Tom bring our package inside. Currently humanity's only food source is ourselves. Other humans. Each other. Every other living thing has become extinct, but people die too- so we eat them. Apparently the population must be declining a bit more rapidly I would assume, since our house has gotten three whole humans this week. There are an average of 6 people in every home. All ages but many of the older adults have died and there are not a lot of people who wish to bring a child into a world like this, so the majority of us are around the same age. In a few hours dinner is ready and we all eat. This is not really something one gets used to, but simply must live with- or die without. I glance around and I see a good people. Our household has worked to remain tranquil unlike others who have gone completely insane. Who can blame them. Although we do not talk much about our feelings, I know we all have a different perspective on the whole situation right now. Some that not everyone will agree with. Yet we must not speak carelessly, for all we have is each other.

AMBIVERT

I really feel as though I am equally in between an introvert and an extrovert. I am able to and don't mind doing things/tapping into either side of myself. I love to be social and around people, hang out with my different groups of friends and be loud. Although sometimes it can be awkward, I like to meet new people and make new friends. I speak my mind when I deem it necessary and assert conflict boldly. Still, half the time it is not like that. I tend to get very deep in my thoughts and I rather observe/listen to the world around me than be active. A lot of the time I just want to hang out with one to a few friends at a time. Sometimes I just want to be alone. I do not always feel comfortable trying new things or being around people I do not know.
There should definitely be an appropriate balance of each type of person in the world. I do not think one could have a well rounded lifestyle without the other. It is nice to have people around that are alike but sometimes it can be too much so its healthy to mix it up. I also do not think that anyone is fully introvert or fully extrovert. One may lean towards a certain side but we each share characteristics of both.

3 Crime Fighting Abilities

The three crime fighting super powers/abilities I would choose are teleportation, adaptation, and kung fu. I first chose teleportation because it would be similar to having super speed and I could travel anywhere in the world; this means I could use the power to fight crime by not being restricted to just local criminals. I could instantly criminals to different places if necessary, such as jail, or isolation. If Im in trouble or the criminal is about to hurt me, I can just teleport away. This could also cause distraction as I fight them and make for more of an epic battle. Which brings me to my next power- adaptation. I could teleport them underwater but still be able to breath and comfortably fight because I can adapt to any environment instantly. Or I could teleport to the sky and sprout wings. My last super power is kung fu. I simply chose this skill so I can actually fight. If Im not a skilled fighter than a lot of the other powers would just be useless to have. Plus, kung fu is just a boss fighting style.

Texting and Driving

"Ma. Stop."
I keep driving, continue typing
"Can you put your phone down?"
I look ahead, the light turns red

I slowly break
My eyes become occupied
No time it will take
Another text to make

"Ma, it's green"
I drop my phone, I look at the road
"Dling!"
I reach, she steals it from me

I feel disrespected
Although I know I was corrected

"You need to pay attention,
both hands on the wheel."
So silly I think, paranoid belief
Multitasking is no big deal

Her feet push on the car floor
Like a bolt tightened too much more

"Let me see."
"No, it stays with me."
"Would you quit it already!"
She gives it back reluctantly

As soon as I check-
"Ma, watch out!"-
I am filled with regret

Over in the next seat
Was an unconscious body
For one simple thing
Texting and driving.

Magical Smartphone

The first standardized app I would put on my magical smartphone is the ability to transport me anywhere in the world. All I would have to do is pull up the picture and destination and BAM. I am there. I also think it would be super convenient if I could pull anything I wanted out of pictures like food, outfits, etc. Certain apps could allow the phone to turn into special gadgets during emergencies, such as scuba masks, a pocket knife..... a fork, etc. The games on this smartphone would allow me to virtually play inside. I could play as if it were real life but still be able to come out whenever I pleased, died, or the game ended. The same could go for movies and stories. I could be added to the story line and play my own role as a character in the movie or online book.

Dolla Dolla Bill

Peaceful greetings. Im about ready to share my psychedelic day with all you rad souls. Can you dig it? So I was like chilling in the man's pocket, when out of nowhere I see this radical afro. He passes me to a cashier with blood shot eyes and a fab beard. Before Im placed back into darkness, I catch a glimpse of record filled crates and far out posters. A few hours later, he pulls me out and Im stuffed into another dudes pocket. Next thing I know, I start hearing some real groovy tunes. When I come out, I see a whole bunch of funky lights and plenty of cool cats getting down. I was totally feeling all the good vibes but then everything changed. I wake up and to find myself lying on the side of the street. I couldnt like remember anything. All of a sudden I feel a hand grab me. Wide eyed, she looks at me and says, "Swag".

Shark Infested Woods

Yimmy and I were laughing and fooling about in the woods; but what was a nice walk through the forest, would soon be a deadly trap. This, we did not know. For although we were aware that we were lost, we didn't mind because we had each other. We would find a way out and return home safely. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go as planned...
"Sarah." Yimmy suddenly stopped and leaned closer to me. In a very low tone she whispered,"Look." I followed her eyes. There I saw what looked like a selarestial. A shot of adrenaline rushed through me. Selarestials is what we call the sharks that have been found swimming in the forest. They were recently found in other states but we had no idea they would be here. We had to find a way out.
What were we supposed to do? I gently pull Yimmy and slide over to a tree, attempting to block us from the Selarestial's field of vision.
"Stay here and watch for selarestials nearby. Im going to climb this tree and see if I can locate a way out of this graveyard."
"No! I don't want to stay down here by myself!" Yimmy whispers in a panicked tone.
"If any sharks come, let me know without being too obvious and you better catch me when I jump." Im trying to take lead but Im shaking like a dysfunctional wreck. I begin to sweat as I climb the trunk, carefully grabbing each branch as I make my way to the top. All I can see are trees, but how else are we supposed to find a way out? So I look harder. I then noticed the red blinking dot on top of the fire house. That was where we were running to. I start to make my way back down when Yimmy frantically says "One's coming!" Immediately I jump and of coarse she fails to catch me.
"Sorry, false alarm." I slowly turn my head to give her an annoyed look.
     "We're heading north."
